Demeteria Adams Kossie

Age 47

My name is Demetria Kossie and I’m 47 years old. I’ve been married to my Best Friend Charles for 24 years. We have four Beautiful, Awesome children. Three girls Tashima, Cierra and Charlesavia along with one handsome son Vodrick. We we’re blessed with five beautiful grandchildren Nyla, Vodrick Jr, Bailey, Jamari’a and Ryle who are all my world. 
I am from a small town by the name of Brenham, Tx known for their famous BlueBell Ice Cream which is just an hour away from Houston,Tx. Writing is my passion and making others feel loved and happy is very important to me. Just as well as educating children on safety and respect is huge for me. 
I dedicate this book to my granddaughter Jamri’a she’s the light of my world and has a big heart for others. I dedicate this book to children around the world and want show how important it is for us to treat each other with the utmost respect and love. Parents teach your children not to make fun of others with disabilities or people who are just different from them. Let’s love everybody.

Romelia: WHAT IS A SIGNIFICANT WAY YOUR BOOK HAS CHANGED SINCE THE FIRST DRAFT?

Demeteria Kossie: The editing and illustration has become more alive.

Romelia: WHAT PERSPECTIVES OR BELIEFS HAVE YOU CHALLENGED WITH THIS WORK?

Demeteria Kossie: Getting the word out.

Romelia: WHAT INSPIRED THE IDEA FOR YOUR BOOK?

Demeteria Kossie: I saw a young Disabled man being made fun of in the grocery store by other grown men.

Romelia: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BOOK’S IDEAL READER?

Demeteria Kossie: This book is very Educational and this book is also about Respecting others.

Romelia: HOW MUCH RESEARCH DID YOU NEED TO DO FOR YOUR BOOK?

Demeteria Kossie: None at all.

Romelia: HOW IMPORTANT WAS PROFESSIONAL EDITING TO YOUR BOOK’S DEVELOPMENT?

Demeteria Kossie: It was very important to me because this book was from the heart and it had to be perfect.

Romelia: WHAT WAS YOUR HARDEST SCENE TO WRITE, AND WHY?

Demeteria Kossie: I would say if you see someone missing a limb was cause I feel so sorry for people who are missing their limbs because they play a very important role in our lifestyles.

Romelia: WHAT CHARACTERS IN YOUR BOOK ARE MOST SIMILAR TO YOU OR TO PEOPLE YOU KNOW?

Demeteria Kossie: The narrator.

Romelia: HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO WRITE THIS BOOK?

Demeteria Kossie: It took me one day to write the book.

Romelia: HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE TITLE FOR YOUR BOOK?

Demeteria Kossie: I was thinking about laughing then I was thinking about disabilities and I know you shouldn’t be laughing at a Disabled person so that gave me the idea and title.

Romelia: WOULD YOU AND YOUR MAIN CHARACTER GET ALONG?

Demeteria Kossie: Yes.

Demeteria Kossie: I Love You no matter what you look like.

Demeteria Kossie: Quiteness.

Demeteria Kossie: I like to write at night.

Demeteria Kossie: No.

Demeteria Kossie: I invested in a illustrator I didn’t know.

Demeteria Kossie: Yesterday, my books on Amazon.

Demeteria Kossie: I wanted to be a comedian.

Demeteria Kossie: I am a Domestic Violence survivor. I lost my oldest sister to cancer.
